Guest curator Muller Van Severen
Starting in 2025, DAMN° magazine is introducing a dynamic new approach by inviting a guest curator for each issue. Working alongside the editorial team, the curator will explore a chosen theme, bringing fresh perspectives and unique insights to every edition.
This collaboration is intended to foster dialogue, challenge boundaries, and deliver thought-provoking content that resonates with DAMN°’s diverse audience.
For the first guest edition, curators Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen will create 48 unique pages on the theme of "Signature." These pages will reveal the process behind their new collections, which are set to launch during Salone del Mobile in Milan this year.
The Spring/Summer 2025 issue will explore the evolving concept of "signature"—the distinctive mark that defines and authenticates the identity of creators, brands, and institutions. This issue will delve into how signature elements—whether in furniture, automotive design, fashion, art, architecture, or technology—serve as expressions of vision, craftsmanship, and authenticity. All content will be presented through the critical lens of DAMN°’s writers, infused with a touch of humor and perspective.
At DAMN° we’ve always believed that design is about ideas that have an impact. This anniversary edition, in particular, is our manner of looking at both where we’ve been and where we are going. Design has such a unique role to play in reimagining our future — and this is our invitation to everyone who feels that call.
So here’s to the journey we’ve taken together over the past two decades, and to the new horizons we’ll be exploring in the years to come. We are thrilled to continue this path together with each of you — our readers, our contributors, our creative partners — as we move forward into the next chapter of DAMN°.
